Hi Katie, Nice to think you want to come to Torrevieja to work, but its not as easy as you think. First of all even the Spanish cannot find work, least of all visitors. Coming in the summertime would be too late, because if you were thinking of casual bar work, you need to come down by Easter to ask around to get your foot in the door. Ireland is in the EU so you don't need special permission to work, but it is very difficult if not impossible to get contract work where you pay national insurance, tax etc. The financial crisis is far worse here than UK or Ireland. If you have accommodation, make sure you have enough money to last you the summer. Good luck with your search.
