55th Habaneras and Polyphony Contest

From the 23rd to the 30th of July, Torrevieja will become the world capital for
choir songs and Habaneras.

The historical site Eras de la Sal will become from the 23rd to the 30th of July
the Catedral de la Habanera (the Habanera Cathedral). There, a total number of
19 choirs, coming from three continents and representing 13 countries, will
participate in the contest.
Choirs from Serbia, Poland, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Russia, Germany, Hungary,
Uruguay, Colombia, Venezuela, the Philippines and Sweden, a country
participating for the first time in the contest, as well as our country, through
the regions of Madrid, Castilla La Mancha, the Canary Islands and the Community
of Valencia, all of them competing for the famous prizes of this contest.

After 55 years history, the Local Contest Board is working very hard for this
worldwide famous and recognized choir appointment for the city to keep on being
proud of it.
