Michael on 02 June, 2010 11:46:00 The 4th, 5th and 6th of June the Aguila Patrol will celebrate its 25th anniversary with several demonstrations. The Academia General del Aire (the General Air Academy or AGA) will hold, on the 4th of June, an act of allegiance to the Spanish flag by the civil population which will count with the participation of members of the Club Patrulla Águila (Águila’s Patrol Club), coinciding with the celebration which takes place every year at the facilities of this training centre. Then, on the 5th of June, the same academy will celebrate an open day. It will start at 10 am and will finish at 4.30pm, approximately. To finalise, on the 6th of June there will be an air show which will count with the contribution of the Spanish Air Force offering a Eurofighter, an F-18, a Canadair known as "apagafuegos" (or fire-extinguisher), apart from the Aspa helicopters patrol, the Patrulla Acrobática de Paracaidismo del Ejército del Aire (Air Force Acrobat Parachuting Patrol or PAPEA) and the Águila Patrol. Finally, it is important to remark they will count with the participation of the Italian patrol called "Frecce Tricolori", which will show, using their steams, the Italian flag colours all around the heavens of the Mar Menor. The exhibition will start at 10 am and finish at 2 pm, and will take place at the Santiago de la Ribera and Lo Pagán beaches, just facing the seafront.
