Torrevieja’s Carnival 2010 - POSTPONED PARADE

The carnival parade has been postponed to tomorrow on Sunday at 6 p.m..

Next January 23rd, the opening speech and presentation of the Queen of Carnival
will be held at the local theatre.
The speech will be performed by eight young boys and girls from different
comparsas who have been preparing for months different plays full of humour and
satire and who will give way to the fiestas.
The most expected dates will be the comparsas contest parade, which will take
place in the evening of February 7th, and the exhibition carnival, to be held
the night of February 13th.
Both parades will have the same route as last year’s. That is, with exit at
Patricio Pérez through Ramón Gallud and up to the María Asunción square.
On January 26th there will be a children’s costumes dance show at the local
leisure club (Macrodiscoteca), and the Local Theatre will hold on January 29th
the second edition of the drag queen contest.
On January 31st, we will be attending to the Carnival Murgas Contest. The
program will be rounded up with the celebration of a carnival theatre play on
February 12th.
