Torrevieja's Sociedad Cultural Casino was founded in 1882 and is a true example
of social relations, now open to everyone, offering its maqnificent halls such
as the "principal", with its artistic panelling, or the interior in Mozarabic
style.

The casino of Torrevieja represents the height of local culture which is why it
has the distinction of being considered the cream of Torrevieja cultural events.
The hall reached from the Plaza de Isabel II is also outstanding, recently
called "Generación del 98" and in which we can admire portraits of all of the
authors of this important Spanish cultural trend. On the building's façade
there is neo - Nazarine glass canopy supporting a terrace with views of the
inner harbour.
The Casino also has a café, library, games and billiard rooms and others. Open
from morning till night, it is a meeting place that holds many painting
exhibitions and cultural activities throughout the year.
