Torrevieja offers a wide range of sporting facilities for practising almost all kinds of sports.

There is a Sports Complex in the area called La Hoya. It comprises:

A sports palace with three sports courts, Olympic swimming pool, gymnasium, physio-therapy clinic, library and sauna.

Covered pavillion, with sports court for the practice of handball, basketball, roller-skate hockey, volleyball and 5-a-side football.

Tennis courts.

Open-air athletics circuit.

Fooball pitches with grass and hard surface.

Municipal "pelota" court

Bowling and "petanca" surfaces

In order to use these facilities you must phone Torrevieja Town Council Sports Department, where you will be told what day and time you can use these facilities.

Torrevieja possesses more than 50 sports clubs dedicated to most sports. From model aeroplanes through to pigeon fancying, bowling, darts, billards, sailing, hiking, golf, swimming, roller-skate hockey, rhythmic gymnastics or chess, without forgetting all the traditional sports. The town's sports schools carry out sports instruction to even the youngest children, and offer numerous possibilities for keep-fit activities.
