The young girl from Murcia used to have holiday in Torrevieja. Being back from the beach, when switching on a lamp barefooted and still wet, the young girl received a mortal electric shock.

The summer is time for relaxing… far away from this topic, this year the summer is resulting a time for unexpected cases of misfortune, like this last one of a young girl from Murcia, whose family usually spend their summer holiday in Torrevieja, received a fatal electric shock when just being back from the beach and still wet and barefooted, the young girl switched on the old lamp at her home, located at the 199 Pedro Lorca Street, close to the “Playa del Cura” beach.

Nothing could be done by the SAMU (Urgent Medical Assistance Service) when they came to place to save her life, and her dead body was removed by a judicial commission around 17:30 p.m.

According to the Guardia Civil Judicial Police report that came to place and made the visual inspection concerned, the accident could have been caused by the old lamp itself or the antiquity of the electrical installation of the house.
