Static Naval Modelism and Remote Control Exhibition

Date: 13 March – 9 May 2010
Time: Wednesday to Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.. Mondays and Tuesdays closed.
Competitions at Las Naciones garden lake:
Sunday, March 28 – high speed launch and remote control sailboats competition. Organized by the Murcia’s Club de Radio Control Modelismo Naval (Naval Modelism Remote Control Club).
Saturday, April 3 at 11 a.m. – remote control ships competition, manipulation and skills. Organized by the Torrevieja’s naval modelism association "Pascual Flores".
+info: this exhibition has been organized by the Torrevieja’s Museo del Mar y de la Sal and the “Pascual Flores” naval modelism association set up in 2006 and made up by 100 members of 10 different nationalities and aged between 8 and 80 years old.
There will be navigation exhibitions at the garden lake of the Las Naciones park on its opening day, and every weekend during the exhibition period.
The Static Naval Modelism and Remote Control Exhibition “Ciudad de
Torrevieja” has been qualified by experienced people in the field as a “macro-exhibition due to its high content and participation when we compare it to the rest of Spain's”.
This seventh edition will contain models of all types, such as Egyptian war ships of the 1st century BC, Greek three paddles, galleons, frigates, tug boats, fishing boats, Latin sailing boats, Roman vessels, ancient vessels and sport vessels, destroyers, cruisers, aircraft carriers, training ships, paddle boats, yachts, Olympic paddle boats, battleships as well as 19th century dioramas, making a route throughout all navigation times until the day of today.
