Andrea Merlau in Torrevieja - The Power of Voice

Great Christmas gala performance with Andrea Merlau , Adam Slater and the Coro Alegre on Wednesday, the 10 th of December 2008 at the “Virgin del Carmen” in Torrevieja, 8.00 pm.

Andrea Merlau is a Musical singer and much more. With her incredible, –powerful voice she easily covers all music-genres from classic to rock and pop, soul and gospel. “ I love to cross from one type of music to another.
Singing has so many facets; only one style of music would never be enough to enable me to express all my emotions.”  You will hear and feel the emotions through her fantastic voice, leaving you with goose bumps.
Besides her extraordinary voice, Andrea Merlau has real acting talent. She is a true performer who shows both variety and flexibility.


Andrea Merlau  is a high quality Mezzo-Soprano, following her parents who were also opera singers. Her mother Monika conducts the well known choir “Coro Alegre” wich has had much success all over the Costa Blanca.
Andrea has studied at the “Franz Schubert-Conservatory” in Vienna and at the “Vienna Musical School”.  Her  singing improved when she worked with various world wide stars like Steve Barton etc. She has sung in many musical capitals; Hamburg, Berlin, Vienna, London and New York. For the inhabitants of Torrevieja  Andrea is also known  for her singing performance at the “Eras de la Sal” and in other top venues all over the Costa Blanca.

She is now presenting a special programme  “The golden Twenties”  with German and English Songs at “Villa Augusto” (Guardamar) on the 13th  of November and on the 5th of December at 8.30 pm (reservations by phone 620 953 731).

There is also the opportunity to attend a “Great Christmas-Gala” in the concert hall “Virgin del Carmen” in Torrevieja on the 10th of December 2008 at 8 pm .Also appearing is the baritone “Adam Slater”, well known locally for his appearance as a finalist of “Spain’s next Star”. He has studied singing  professionally with Andrea’s mother Monika Merlau. Besides these two singers you will enjoy the “Coro Alegre”  conducted  by  Monika Merlau.
The programme consists of international classical music together with songs from musicals, Christmas songs and gospel.

The concert will be held on the 10th of December 2008 at “Virgin del Carmen” in Torrevieja, 8.00 pm. Entrance 10 Euros. Tickets may be purchased at OARI (Torrevieja tourist office).
