Michael Peter Blake, San Fulgencio’s Councillor, dies

The Council’s flags flattered at half mast yesterday in mourning.

The British San Fulgencio’s Councillor, Michael Peter Blake, died last Tuesday and will be buried in the city’s cemetery as he wished to, after requesting it to his family before dying.

Blake, who was 61 and of British nationality, was living in a urbanization of San Fulgencio since at least 10 years ago with his wife, after retiring as a prison officer and university professor.


The funeral will take place initially on Monday, as some family and friends of Michael Peter Blake are being expected to arrive from England.

Blake was famous since he arrived to Spain, as he had created the Colaborando Neighbours Association, a team which collaborated with the local police against crime and citizens’ lack of safety.
