Election of the Reina de la Sal 2008/09

Today, the decision of the jury electing the three candidates to the Reina Reina de la Sal (Salt Queen) among a total of 8 girls standing to represent the woman of Torrevieja has been displayed.

The jury has officially appointed the following girls as candidates to Reina de la Sal
2008/09: Verónica Ballester Trillo (presented by the Cultural Society Casino de Torrevieja), Lisa Schinello (presented by The Cultural Association Carnaval de Torrevieja) and Jennifer Limón Torres (presented by the Comisión Hoguera del Barrio de La Punta).

The jury of this edition was made up by the town councillor for culture and fiestas, Eduardo Dolón, who was acting as secretary for the same, Isabel Alarcón Martínez (Torrevieja’s Salt Queen  2006/07), Rosa Fernández Vida (businesswoman), Ángeles Galindo Vigo (businesswoman), Jesús Baeza (stylist), José Riera Iborra (president of the Association of Small and Medium-sized Traders of Torrevieja), and José María Andréu Montesinos (photographer collaborating with the magazine Semanario Vista Alegre).

On the 29th of November at 8:00 p.m., at the Municipal Theatre Teatro-Auditorio Municipal de Torrevieja, the decision of the jury will be made public during the Proclamation and Coronation of the Salt Queen and Ladies-in Waiting Act for the year 2008-09.

For this event, a room has been prepared where the Dance School Agustina Esteve as well as all queens from the different cultural and festive associations of the city of Torrevieja will be present.
