The 1st “Ricardo Lafuente” memorial will gather all six Torrevieja’s chorals at the local theatre
The Municipal “Ricardo Lafuente” Choir will sing for the first time in the world the unpublished work of the Habaneras master, “Misa en Fa Mayor”.
The 1st “Ricardo Lafuente” Memorial will take place on the same date one of the most distingued Torrevieja citizens in the history was born, on the 7th and 8th of November. The city of Torrevieja wants to pay a deeply felt homage to the figure of the “Havaneras master”, a musician who spread the havanera all around the world as nobody did.
Friday, 7th of November at 9 p.m., Teatro Municipal (Local Theatre):Masa Coral “José Hódar”
Choir “Maestro Casanovas”
Choir and Orchestra “Ricardo Lafuente” Salinas de Torrevieja.
Saturday, 8th of November at 9 p.m., Teatro Municipal (Local Theatre):
Choir “Manuel Barberá”
Torrevieja Choral “Francisco Vallejos”
Local Choir “Ricardo Lafuente”
The six local chorals will sing famous and representative Ricardo Lafuente’s habaneras, such as Torrevieja, La dulce habanera, Toma esta flor, Nunca te olvidaré, El ruiseñor y la flor,
Que lindo atardecer, el zunzuncito or Habanera divina.
There will be a free entrance for this 1st “Ricardo Lafuente” Memorial, with invitation, until the Local Teatro-Auditorio’s capacity is completely full, and invitations can be collected from the same theatre ticket office.
