A 21 year old person drowned in Playa Flamenca.

The dead body was rescued from the sea by several bathers.

A 21 year old person was found drowned las Monday 20th of May in Playa Flamenca, according to the report given by the Information and Emergency Coordination Centre (CICU) and the Local Police of Orihuela costa.

The incident happened around 13:30p.m. A call was received at the Emergency Centre about the disappearance of a young person who had disappeared while bathing.

Immediately after the Sea Rescue, the Local Police of Orihuela costa, the Provincial Firebrigade and the Emergency Services went to his aid.

A few minutes later, the dead body was found by some bathers. The body was floating and had signs of drowning.

The rescued body was taken to the seaside and despite the SAMU efforts there was no chance at all to save his life.
