Aid programme for gambling addicts

The Torrevieja’s Association Esperanza y Vida starts a programme for people suffering from gambling addiction problems.

At the Vega Baja’s region there are very scarce –if any- resources for the treatment of this type of addictions, but there are many cases known of people coming to the association asking for help. 

Esperanza y Vida starts this new initiative to help people with this kind of problems, which, as it happens with some other problems alike, end up by destroying their lives and the lives of people surrounding them. 

Esperanza y Vida is developing another programme based in the prevention through education: a programme for children in schools. This initiative is directed to children of different ages, and through the same, they will be encouraged to the social values and skills they might be lacking of, their self-esteem will be strengthened, they will be taught to deal with pressure among the parents and friends groups, etc.... values and skills which are essential for their education, evolution and growth.
