Over 1000 people participated in the Carnival’s parade

29 comparsas as well as the Carnival Queen and Drag Queen’s floats participated in the same.

Prize-giving took place at the Centro Cultural Virgen del Carmen before a public completely devoted to the Carnival.

The contest parade lasted for over two hours and a half, and counted with the participation of 29 comparsas. In total, the Torrevieja’s 2010 Carnival gathered in the city streets over one thousand dressed up people conforming comparsas and groups or participating individually. As usual, the Ramón Gallud street, turned into a big catwalk, gathered thousands of people attending to it all along the street.

The Colombian comparsa participated as well, out of contest, by recreating its country’s culture and folklore.

Next Carnival event will be the nightly Carnival’s parade
