Carols in the square

On Friday 16th December 2011

One of the highlights of the Christmas season for the International community is undoubtedly the Christmas Carols in the Square, which each year attract upwards of four thousand visitors to the centre of Torrevieja. This year’s event takes place on Friday 16th December 2011, commencing at the usual time of18.00-hrs. The Phoenix Band, have once again confirmed that they will provide the music for this important event with the singing led by a massed chorus made up of the various performance groups from around the city

It’s yet to be confirmed but the event will probably be followed, as in previous years, by the 'international mass'’, which is dedicated to the non-Spanish population of Torrevieja,  in the Inmaculada church after the singing in the square is finished. Fundraising for various charties also takes place on the night but possibly even more importantly is that all visitors are asked to bring along an offering of non-perishable foodstuffs for distribution by the church for those in need. Don’t forget the date, Friday 16th December for the Carols in the Square.
