It’s a bumper weekend of cars of every description over next weekend, followed by a mouth-watering treat in the shape of the Force India F1 car and it’s driver on December 8th, in Marina Salinas.

Locally, on Sunday November 27 the Sunday Drivers Club returns to St. James’s Gate in Torrevieja to put on yet another superb display of cars between the hours of 11.00 and 13.00-hrs. If last month’s event is anything to go by, and the gods are kinds to us and the sun shine, at least 50 cars of any shape, size and description should be on display, from American Muscle cars such as Mustang, Corvette, Camaro, Firebird and even a Dukes of Hazard General Lee, through a selection of MG, Triumph, Mini, Seat, Porsche, BMW, Mercedes and many others. More information at www.Mostonthecoast.com.

Meanwhile, if you are on the lookout to purchase a car, the IFA exhibition centre, beside Alicante Airport, is the place to head for. From Friday through Sunday they will host the most important motoring event in the province of Alicante with two major events in the sector: the 29th edition of FIRAUTO: Car and motorcycle Fair, plus Expocar: the 15th edition that the areas largest Used Car Motor Show has been featured here.

More than 50 exhibitors will be attending these two events to be held from 25 to 27 November in Halls I and II of the IFA exhibition centre. FIRAUTO will feature over 1,500 new and pre-owned vehicles and include a look at the main developments in the sector with new models of cars and motorcycles on display, including motor and motorcycle clothing, financial services, insurance, associations and agencies. The IFA will be the best showcase for motor enthusiasts and for those who are interested in renewing their vehicle and where you can compare prices and performance in the same space. As an added bonus at the IFA, they offer a Free Pre-ITV check; just take along you car, join the queue and you will be given the opportunity to pass the Pre-ITV test for free.

However, few classic cars are on display at the IFA, so for these, don’t forget to visit the Sunday Drivers Club on Sunday. The following week features three Red Days for most public servants throughout Spain, from December 6 through 8. On Thursday December 8, a unique and very special event will take place in Torrevieja when Formula One top tem driver Adrian Sutil will visit Torrevieja long with his Force India Car. The venue is the Marina Salinas area beside the fairground, where a Marquee will also be located for the Patronal Fiestas.

The reason for all of the fun and games is that Indian Kingfisher brand is launching their beer in style here in Spain featuring an special appearance by one of the World´s top current Grand Prix drivers Adrian Sutil who will be arriving in Torrevieja along with Torrevieja’s Mayor Eduardo Dolon aboard a luxury 60ft Sealine motor yacht.

A full day of events including photo opportunities with the Sahara Force India Formula One car and the driver himself are planned plus you can test your own Formula One potential in a racing simulator, there is a classic car exhibition, remote control helicopter aerial display, replica model jet fighter planes from Madrid, authentic Indian cooking demonstrations, charity raffles offering you a chance to win some authentic F1 memorabilia, Kingfisher Beer promotions and much more, so there certainly won’t be a lack of things to see or do.

Entrance to the Kingfisher Formula One day is free and there will be plenty of parking at the marina at only one Euro for the whole day giving you no excuse not to enjoy this Monaco style day. For more information about the Formula 1 day please phone 966 77 44 02 or visit www.VivaTV.es and for the Sunday Drivers Club, look for them on Facebook or visit www.Mostonthecoast.com.
