Enrolment open for Cultural courses

From September 1st, the courses offered by the Municipal Institute of Culture are open for enrolment for 2011-2012.

The courses on offer are painting, belly dancing, tai chi, photography and theatre, with both morning and afternoon classes, Monday through Saturday, at the Centro Cultural Virgen del Carmen. The exception is the drama class where enrolment takes place at Calle Apollo 62. The deadline for registration is September 16.

The tuition fees vary according to the course and preference will be given to those registered in Torrevieja and costs will be modified from previous years and subsidized by the council, with the exception of the Municipal School of Photography. Once the places are allotted to local citizens, it will be the turn of residents in neighbouring municipalities and Torrevieja homeowners, who spend most of the year in the city.

The council highlighted the creation of two groups of the School of Painting in the classrooms of the City of La Mata with the intention to continue to bring culture to different parts of the city, in this case the registration will be formalized in La Mata’s library. All courses will start around 3 October and run until June, ending with an open house where students will show what they have learned and developed throughout the year. Throughout the city, Torrevieja Cultural department are issuing leaflets with details of each of the municipal schools as requirements for registration, schedules, prices, levels, etc. For more information, please contact the offices of the Department of Culture or call 96.670.68.38.
