Various activities have been arranged in the 'Plaza de la Constitución' to celebrate the EUROPEAN DAY
The civic act and the raising of the flag will take place around 12 noon and from 11.00 to 14.00h there will be music and dance presentations from representatives of distinct European countries.
This year, 'EUROPEAN DAY' 9th MAY, falls on a Friday and, once again, various activities have been arranged in the 'Plaza de la Constitución' in the centre of Torrevieja to celebrate. The civic act and the raising of the flag will take place around 12 noon and from 11.00 to 14.00h there will be music and dance presentations from representatives of distinct European countries as per the attached itinary.11.15h: ‘Torrevieja Pipes & Drums’ (gaitas y tambores – escocia).
11.40h: Alumnos de las clases de baile del Centro Municipal de Ocio. (profesora Inmaculada Montesinos). (Europeos de varios nacionalides ofrecerán una muestra de baile español).
12.00h: Gaitas y tambores escoceses.
12.10h: Acto Civico con la intervención de:
- Enrique Lorca, (Consul Sueco en Torrevieja.)
- Paul Mutter, (periodista inglés.)
- Exc. Snr. D. Pedro Hernandez Mateo, (Alcalde de
Torrevieja.)
- Izada de la bandera euopea y ‘Himno de Europa’.
12.30h: Phil Trainor y banda ofercerá music celta de Irlanda.
13.15h: Coro Rociero de Torrevieja.
