The exhibition “Torrevieja bajo tu manto” is dedicated to the Torrevieja’s patron saint and was organized by the Local Culture Institute “Joaquín Chapaprieta” and the association Asociación Hijos de la Inmaculada. The exhibition is open Tuesday to Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., and it opens on Sundays, from 10 a.m. to 1.30 p.m.This is an exceptional and complete exhibition which will be open at the Sala Vista Alegre until January 15th 2010, and counts with the important heritage of the Inmaculada church and other private temporary donations, the Torrevieja’s patron saint belongings, historic documents, religious images of the Inmaculada Concepción trajectory throughout history, since in the year 1789 the diocese bishop, José Tormo, elected the Inmaculada as the patron saint of the town of Torrevieja until nowadays.
Torrevieja bajo tu manto is a wonderful exhibition of faith and devotion to its patron saint throughout many centuries, as the Inmaculada means, to many citizens, the most pure and spiritual feeling for everybody who worship her.
