Festive spirit continues in Torrevieja

There are still a number of festive activities noticeable throughout Torrevieja’s town centre in an effort to build up ambiance and atmosphere for downtown shoppers.

In the Constitution Square, in front of the Inmaculada Church, new ‘shops’ have been set-up, just opposite the Belen, adding to the atmosphere and colour to the area plus a little more festive spirit to the streets of Torrevieja. Offerings include a choice of Christmas sweets, nougat, jams, turon, honey, plants, Christmas gifts plus the perennial favourite, churros with chocolate

As part of the 2011 Christmas Campaign, the Department of Commerce has put in place several actions aimed at promoting local businesses, which include ambient festive music being played around the main streets of Torrevieja, a Gift Point, located on the corner of the Municipal Market, La Plaza, where anyone can have their gifts beautify wrapped, from the facility, completely Free!

A number of Christmas Trees have been decorated by several local associations, These trees can be voted on through a ballot box located in the Gift Point centre or through Facebook, at ‘concejalia.comercio.torrevieja’.Those who vote will be entered into a draw for a €100 voucher to be spent at any of the participating shops, thanks to the collaboration of APYMECO. These activities will continue until January 6, 2012.
