FIRST ARRESTED AFTER THE REFORM OF THE PENAL CODE ON REFORM GOES UP TO 200 KILOMETERS PER HOUR

The reform of the Penal Code contemplates punishments of prison term be from three to six months or from 31 to 90 days.

The Traffic Civil Guard of La Rioja has stopped a 29-year-old man as supposed author of a Road Security Crime Control, for having circulated to more than 200 kilometres per hour along the freeway, when the speed limit is 120 k.p.h. . . . It is a question of the first arrest since the coming into effect of the reform of the Penal Code on the subject of Traffic and Road Security.

The arrested was surprised by a mobile radar of the Civil Guard, when a vehicle speeding on the freeway, at 200 kilometers per hour. Exceeding the speed limit by 81 kilometers of legal velocity y allowed for the type of route for which subject was circulating.

The Civil Guard remembered that after the reform of the Penal Code that came into force last December 2, Article 379 establishes that the one that drives « a vehicle or motorcycle at top speed at 60 kilómeters per hour in the city limits or at 80 kilometers per hour in outer city, will be punished by the punishment of prison from three to six months or due community hours from 31 to 90 days ».
