FLYING SCHOOL -AL AIRE- IN CATRAL: ENJOY AN AERIAL RIDE AND LEARN TO PILOT

At the Catral flying countryside you can enjoy having an aerial ride on a micro light aircraft and get your own pilot title for a reasonable price.

It is about an unforgettable experience the one you have when flying on a micro light aircraft and having the chance to watch the coast, the beaches, the Segura river mouth, the extraordinary view of the villages and cities which surround us. The minimum price for a ride is settled on 30 euros, and you usually have a flying ride over the Segura river mouth and back in about 15 minutes.

The flying countryside in Catral where these rides are available is already working since 1995.

The pilot in charge of teaching you how to pilot this micro light aircraft as well as responsible for these flying rides is the pilot Julio Revert, whose experienced record is incredibly amazing. He was Spain’s winner in micro light flying, also, in the year 2000 he reached the first place in Europe’s competition which took place in a city close to Paris, and, in 2001 he obtained the third place in the World’s Micro light Aircraft Championship.

The title of micro light aircraft pilot is not difficult to obtain. You may need at least 10 practice hours to be able to pass the exam. The inscription for the exam is 1.500 euros. To be able to pilot one of these particular aircrafts, you may need no less than 15 flying hours. It may happen that some people may have spent more money on taking a car driving license than a micro light aircraft pilot title.

You need to be over 18 years-old in order to become pilot of these aircrafts, or at least 16 and having your parent’s permission. A medical checking made by a Civil Flying Inspector is a must.
