Gastronomy Exhibition to feature seven Torrevieja restaurants

As highlighted last week, one of the shows not to miss at Alicante’s IFA exhibition centre is the Gastronomy Exhibition.

Previous editions have seen upwards of 40,000 paying customers visit the weekend event, which this year have been expanded to four days and for the first time will feature Torrevieja, who will form part of the largest gastronomic event, which is sponsored by the Provincial Council of Alicante. Agustina Esteve, councillor of Commerce and Catering, accompanied by the president of the Association of Hospitality Torrevieja and District, José Antonio Lozano, and vice president of the association, Luis Miguel Blanco, said that the decision to visit the show was a very last minute affair but that they will have a major presence at the show which takes place from 12 to 15 November.

The hours are from 11:00 to 22:00 hours and uninterrupted access tickets are available completely free at tourist offices in Torrevieja and the hospitality association itself. Yes, they are free, so pick up yours today and try to visit the show on Monday or Tuesday. Torrevieja will be represented by a stand of over 125 square meters, where continuously seven city restaurants will be showing off their cuisine. And thanks to the collaboration of the Salinas de Torrevieja, all visitors will receive a few salt gift that they can take home.

The stand will also highlight such special events as next weeks Tapas Route and a presentation about local La Mata wine manufacture. The restaurants participating include: Tasca Nueva Bahia, el Vaporcito, Barlovento, El huertano, Marisquería Torrevieja, El Puerto, Piscolabis and Lizarran Torrevieja all of whom have excellent reputations around Torrevieja however few expatriots may have ever eaten in them, so now is your chance to find out more about the gastronomy on offer in the City of Salt.

Agustina Esteve said that the Department of Trade and Hospitality would like to thank everyone involved in this event for their tremendous effort in creating the stand, which has been carried out in record time for the four -day fair.
