GRAND HORSE RIBBONS RACE IN PILAR DE LA HORADADA

The Equestrian Club organizes this act for next Sunday, the 7th of October at 5 p.m..

The Equestrian Club that presides Salvador Moya organizes, in collaboration with the Councillorship of Celebrations, a “ Grand Stretch Gallop Horseback Riding ” on Sunday, the 7th of October at 17.00 hours in the canalization of the Urban Boulevard near the Virgin school of Pilar of Pilar de la Horadada.

As in many countryside villages of Cartagena and some villages of the province of Alicante, in Pilar de la Horadada every year is held the traditional Grand Horseback Race only for riders who are single.

The ribbons are placed to a considerable height, having to go the riders of foot in the horse despite the risk that this supposes.

But this “ Gallop Stretched ” race, that was an innovation in the year 2005, continues in heyday.

A few ribbon races will be able to be viewed on horseback approximately eighty local meters where the ribbons hang down and to be able to do with some of them and obtain an award the horses will have 70 meters to do the stop.
