IVAN VIDAL LEAVES TORREVIEJA FOOTBALL CLUB

Past Wednesday first-team goalkeeper Ivan Vidal decided to leave FC Torrevieja, after a meeting with the board.

Vidal held on at Torrevieja as long as possible because of the responsibility of his place in the team. His professional status made him decide to leave, to avoid the consequences of the recent financial trouble.

His next club will be Ontiyent, a team playing in Second Diviison B, where also other ex-FC Torrevieja players Santi Villa and Raúl Manrique are under contract.

Last week manager Agustín Soto also left FC Torrevieja, despite having one year left on his contract. “Los Salineros” visit next weekend Xàtiva. The match will be very relevant in order to continue in the league. Avoiding relegation has become FC Torrevieja´s primary objective this year.
