JANE CRONIN WINS COMPANY WOMAN OF THE YEAR

Three hundred guests attended a glittering, gala awards ceremony on the Costa
Cálida, to celebrate the outstanding achievements of women in business. 
Organised by networking group, Company Women, it was the first time awards of
this kind had been staged on the Costa Blanca and Costa Calida.
Jane Cronin from Colwyn Bay, won her category, Smart Small Business Owner, and
joked by commenting, “I’m not sure whether it’s me that’s small or
smart or the business!”
A qualified English teacher with 19 years experience working in Spain, Jane
Cronin has spent the last six years working as a teacher of Spanish to local
English speaking residents.  Her language courses cater for all levels and are
delivered in fun, creative and enjoyable ways. Jane has just opened a dedicated
language school in San Pedro del Pinatar.
Upon receiving the award Jane said, "When I heard my name announced as the
overall winner I was absolutely thrilled and delighted!"  Jane added," This
award is an immense opportunity not only for me and my business but also other
women who are building careers here in Spain.  I'll do my best to make the most
of the title Company Woman of the Year 2007 and look forward to helping other
women in business achieve their goals."
Also sharing the spotlight on the night were the four other category winners,
Angel Neal, The Wedding Guide España, ‘Bright Idea Award for Innovation’
Annette Bray, Weight Watchers, ‘Customer Service Ambassador’ Judy Webber,
The Fusion Gallery, ‘ Start Up Success Star’ Marie Holliday, EFT Spain,
‘Against All Odds’.
