Medieval Market from the 16th to the 18th of may at the Nations Garden

This year, the annual Torrevieja Medieval Market will be improved in quantity and quality of the items shown, and it will also count on 200 people to liven up the market.

The fourth edition of this medieval market will be open from next Friday 16th of May until next Sunday 18th of May at the Torrevieja Nations Gardens. Timetable: in the morning, from 11:00 to 14:30 and in the afternoon/evening, from 17:00 until the closing.  

All in all 110 stalls and almost 200 people, many of them members of the animation groups and the stalls’ staff, they all taking part of this new edition of the Torrevieja Medieval Market which will count on a large variety of activities for the three days of its celebration.

Among the animation groups, there will come a fakir, a group of medieval musicians called “Crazy goat”, trapeze artists, falconry, a heraldry exhibition, a snake tamer, a knife thrower show, a caravan of donkeys, a waterwheel and there will be also a special place for children.

Some of the workshops are the bread oven, an esparto grass maker, a potter’s wheel, a silversmith, swords and shield makers, a glass blower, a metal embossed maker, an essence still, a knitting maker and an arab clerk.

There will be also a wide area for gastronomy with typical food as sausage, kebab, hand made cheese made from very ancient recipes, sweetcorn, chestnuts, figs bread, honey and herbs, handmade cakes and pastries, and even a medieval tavern and a wood-fired oven where you can buy bread just made.

I went to the Medieval Fair with my wife on Sunday and would like to say how much we enjoyed it.My hobby is to make videos and post them on You Tube.Log on to youtube.com and put birdman143 torrevieja in the search.There are 4 videos of the medieval market plus other things like the Salt Museum.I hope will enjoy tem.
