New President for Torrevieja’s Rowing Club
Torrevieja’s Club de Remo Fishermen's Association has voted Gerardo Rodriguez, the current vice-president of the Valencian Federation of Rowing to be their new President.
At a brief EGM, outgoing president, Luis Rebollo, made a succinct financial overview, which highlighted the growth and involvement of the municipal budget and the project sponsors. Moncho Ferrer, covered the sporting theme, comparing the situation to a year ago talking about the current in the women's team that is one of the most successful in Spain and the other teams that succeed in their respective competitions. On the issue of equipment, emphasized the provision of medical analytical equipment, material and personnel as well as for discussion was the possible acquisition of a private vehicle.
Gerardo Rodriguez, emphasized that the club is based on the values of friendship and fellowship and among the short-term projects that they are already working on is the Spanish Rowing Championships which will take place in Torrevieja on May 2012. They are also working on consolidating the youth teams belonging to the Municipal School of Rowing who will attend next month's World Championships in October to be held in Bari (Italy).
