The 81 year old Torrevieja artist, Vicente Solano, exhibits a selection of
paintings of his last 50 years of work as a painting artist, works which had
not been exhibited to public so far, and which can now be seen at the Vista
Alegre Exhibition Hall.
Everything began when many years ago, Vicente Solano bought a painter’s
easel, paintbrushes and paints and he went to the Acequión beach with several
of his friends to make a painting. Since then he has not left the world of art.
Vicente Solano is part is what has been called the “Historical Avant-garde
painters” in the Torrevieja world of paintings.
There is also a very interesting show of sculpture made in pottery, where
fantasy and imagination give many different ways of interpretations to the
viewers of these pottery pieces. He creates, makes and tones in his works with
illusion to establish shapes and colours in a deep synchrony of magic shades.
Vicente Solano plays with materials in a very personal way, and he turns his
works into real magical art works.
Vicente Solano Ruiz, local Torrevieja artist, may be described as a
joyful-hearted person with a clear and honest look, investigator in novelties
and anxious about the new techniques, self-taught person day after day for many
years already.
