Pets’ blessing

The San Anton’s celebration pets' blessing will take place on next January 17 at 12.15 p.m. before the Sagrado Corazón de Jesús Church.

For this reason, the Zoa Street –between Ulpiano and Pedro Lorca’s- will be blocked from 12 p.m. onwards to receive all animals to be blessed.

The Torrevieja’s Dioceses Archpriest and Priest of the Sagrado Corazón de Jesús Church, Ginés Ortiz, will be in charge of blessing every pet which come accompanied by his/her owner. This historical Fiesta still preserves nowadays the original pet’s blessing tradition celebrated on the San Antonio Abad saint’s day.
