Joaquín Albaladejo meets with the Provincial Association of Hotels

Torrevieja Deputy Mayor and Tourism Joaquín Albaladejo met with the president of the Provincial Association of Hotels Alicante (APHA) Cristina Rodes at the Provincial Board of Tourism on August 30 This was the first contact between the two leaders, who are working together to promote future activities to promote the tourism brand of the Costa Blanca. After the meeting, which also involved other members of APHA, the President of provincial tourism highlighted the fact that the Costa Blanca Tourism Board "have an obligation to work hand in hand with local business as our major resources, so that we can develop the best promotional activities and actions that will promote the tourism sector in the province. This, above all else, helps create jobs and economic wealth.

In this sense, Joaquín Albaladejo called on APHA to develop an assessment of the current market situation "so that from the perspective of policy management and from the perspective of business management, we can truly define the priority objectives of promotion that have the greatest economic impact, not only in the hotels of our province, but the entire tourism sector; which is the engine of the province’s economy."  One main objective of APHA is to emphasize that Alicante is not just sun and sand, but also of culture and other activities. Albaladejo continued, "The union of interests between the political administration that represents the provincial Tourist Board and business dynamics, shows that the APHA will positively impact and improve the quality of life of Alicante.”

The deputy Mayor highlighted the potential of APHA and the importance of collaboration in the various actions taken by the Costa Blanca Tourism Board, noting that Alicante, as a Spanish province, receives more tourists than any other region in Spain, therefore we should not be neglecting any services that can be offered to visitors, both foreign and domestic. "Being able to develop a tourism policy in the province and be certain that a provincial association as APHA is perfectly willing to cooperate and support the brand destination and province of Alicante, is a very important fact," said Albaladejo.
