Question and Answer time for the Mayor

Students at Colegio Público Nuestra Señora del Rosario, Torrevieja’s private school in Aguas Neuvas, played journalist last week with Torrevieja’s Mayor, Eduardo Dolon.

Accompanied by Councillor for Sports and Education, Daniel Plaza, alongside the School’s Director, Ana Maria Martinez de la Osada and the president of AMPA, Maria Dolores Lopez Gil, Eduardo Dolon and Dani Plaza put themselves in the firing line for a class of select 6th year pupils to ask any questions about political life in Torrevieja.

Dolon was invited to visit the school as part of their Festividad de San José de Calasanz, or Teacher’s day to you and I, celebrations, which fell this year on Sunday November 27. Eduardo Dolon answered questions of students in 6th grade, in an interview that will be published in the annual magazine of the College in June 2012. The mayor of Torrevieja responded to the many issues made by these young "journalists", all of great relevance, addressing many matters related to the problems and needs that the city of Torrevieja.

Eduardo Dolon also explained to the class of  11 year olds about the day to day operation of the City of Torrevieja and what duties the mayor and councillors performed on a daily basis. The entire session was performed in very good humour and Snr. Dolon has an open offer to return to the school, at any time in the future.
