Robbery of copper cable in San Miguel de Salinas
The man arrested was hiding into an electricity supply transformer
The San Miguel de Salinas’ Guardia Civil was informed about some strange noises heard in the hut of a urbanization where the electric transformer supplying the whole urbanization was located. When a patrol arrived to the mentioned place, they could check that the door to the hut had been forced.Inside the same, they could see the transformer had been dismantled and that the copper cables and reels had been placed ready to be transported. After performing a thorough inspection of the place where the hut was situated, they found a young man hiding into an underground air chamber who still carried the tools used to cut all cables.
The initials of the man arrested are J.M.P.P., Spanish nationality. Damages caused may amount to 30,000 €
