IV Spanish Light Opera (Zarzuela) Musical Festival – SANMILIRICO 2008

From Friday the 11th of April to Sunday 13th of April at the San Miguel de Salinas House of Culture Auditorium. Free entrance.

Next Friday 11th of April, at 21:00p.m., the Torrevieja Musical Lyric Group will perform the Spanish Light Opera “LA DOLOROSA”, from José Serrano. This is one of the most wellknown plays of its kind. The performance will count on the special contribution of the “ALCORES” Choir from San Miguel de Salinas, conducted by Aurelio Martínez.

On Saturday the 12th of April, at 20:00 p.m., the San Miguel de Salinas National Contest in Spanish Light Opera (Zarzuela) will be celebrated. There is a big expectation for the celebration of this contest for many of the young promising singers of the Spanish Light Opera will take part. There are two categories, the feminine one for women aged up to thirty-four years-old and the masculine category for men aged up to thirty-six years-old.

On Sunday the 13th of April, at 20:00 p.m., the 2007 winners will perform, the soprano Yolanda Marín and the Torrevieja bass David Sánchez. They will sing some of the most wellknown titles of the Spanish Light Opera, together to the San Miguel de Salinas Choir “Alcores”.
