Hello Torrevieja,

Once again, the Guardia Civil in Torrevieja deserves congratulations for apprehending these two dangerous individuals. I don't want to point the finger at any one nationality, however, I must admit, that lately your local news advises of many criminals, varying in crimes, that are from Britain and / or from other countries who are not residents of Torrevieja. The Guardia Civil's actions will further serve to deter such criminals from going to Torrevieja to seek refuge for their despicable crimes. Torrevieja does not need visitors from these walks of life. It's great that these two in particular were sent back to Britain to be tried in their court of law. Torrevieja is a beautiful, pleasant and otherwise safe city to live in and visit, but it takes some great employees with the Guardia Civil and other community agencies, and also the residents to alert the lawmakers to potential criminals living or hiding in this wonderful city.

From Toronto, Canada.

Strange translation: Audiencia Nacional = National Hearing? How about National Court? The rest of the articles I have looked at are just as strange.

just returned from a weeks holiday in torrevieja, it was the holiday from hell. the place is filthy, graffeti everywhere, went to alicanti for the day to get aeay from the place and my friends bag was stolen! spent 6 hours in the police station where no one spoke any english, along with 20 other people who all had had their bags stolen. will never holiday in torrevieja again, it is not a holiday resort for anyone other than the spanish, we were all so glad to be out of the place and flying home. it was like downtown bagdad.

Pfui Teufel !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I give my praise to Guardia Civil as they also recently aprehended a gang of Albanian's robbing houses and businesses even dressing up as Security Guards. Please do not down criticise the Torrevieja Area. It is a lovely place. You just have to be extra-vigilant. Do not put your guard down such as do not use handbags and walk where it is well lit with something to protect you for assault. Walk in pairs or groups.
