Sunday Drivers Club offering prizes galore

Entrance to the event is free for both owners and visitors and there will also be three trophies awarded on the day

The last Sunday of the month beckons, and with it, what promises to be the first major classic and custom car event of 2012 that offers prizes, free goodies, raffles and breakfast specials, as the Sunday Drivers Club event rolls back into town. The event will take place outside St James’s Gate, Avda. Miguel de Unamuno, Torreta II Commercial Centre, and features a mixture of the Costa Blanca's coolest classic cars, American muscle and tuned rides, Harley Davidson, custom motorcycles, custom cars, Italian exotica, German ingenuity and Eastern delights. The event starts at 11.00am although an early breakfast for just €2.50 is being served in St. James’s Gate from 10.00am. The exhibition finishes at 3.00pm although lunches are also available for those that wish to stay longer and enjoy their Sunday afternoon.

All owners of classic and custom cars and bikes are invited to show and shine their pride and joy at the event for free and as an incentive, there are free T-Shirts for the first 20 Cars or bikes on display and all owners will receive free raffle tickets to win some great prizes just for showing up! Everyone that visits the show can obtain additional raffle tickets with every drink or meal they purchase at St. James’s Gate also. Some of the prizes on offer include: a Hotel getaway weekend from Hotels Alicante,; a car or bike tracking system that works via GPS, one of the very best available in the market and one that was just launched a few days ago, featuring top military technology; a free car valet from Wash and More, Torrevieja; from YaPublic, a cup and saucer printed with a photo of your car or bike of choice; a €25.00 discount on your next service from JZ Autos in Torrevieja with a few more surprise prizes to be announced on the day.

What sets the event apart from others on the Southern Costa Blanca is the offer of free paella for drivers and their partners, along with the free raffle tickets. For just €2.50 per person, there is also an early bird Sunday Breakfast, a full English breakfast with a choice of tea, coffee or fruit juice, served from 10.00am.

Entrance to the event is free for both owners and visitors and there will also be three trophies awarded on the day; Best Car, Best Bike and a mystery prize. The one other unique feature of the event is that local Radio Presenter Keith Nicol will be broadcasting live at the event, although not in person! In fact, for the first time ever in Spain, he’ll be broadcasting from a remote studio and the atmosphere will be provided by the car owners, who will be asked to tune into a frequency, turn up the volume and enjoy the show. Keith will be taking requests and dedications from all those at the event before he heads off to broadcast live from noon until 3.00pm. For more information on the event, please visit them on Facebook at Most On The Coast, at www.MostOnTheCoast.com or call Dave on 603142786.
