A PP city councilor suffered from an armed robbery causing her a broken arm due to bag-snatching.

The departure of three police agents in Guardamar has helped to increase the insecurity in Guardamar. A PP city councilor suffered from bag-snatching in the centre of the town and has a broken arm as a result of the robbery. The oposition places the responsibility for this situacion on the lack of economical funds for the local security agents.

The PP city councilor Teresa Gómez together to a collegue, suffered last week from a bag-snatching, and she had to be admitted at the Guardamar Health Centre as she got the humerus broken as a result of this assault. She was leaving a conference when suddenly a bag-snatcher assaulted her.

The increasing local insecurity and the lack of local police agents is due to the “limited budget as the Local Police counts on 52.000 euros per year whilst the consultants attached to the government team, the architects and the local technicians make all in all more than 362.000 euros per year”. And about the vigilante group of police agents, the oposition claims that there is only one group during the weekend. So “this police patrol is located at the local industrial state assisting to the local discoteques whilst the centre of the town remains without any security surveillance”.
