The Guardia Civil arrests the perpetrators of 11 robberies in petrol stations

They forced the collection boxes of pressure cleaning systems and took the money.

The petrol stations they robbed belonged to towns located in Murcia, such as San
Javier, San Pedro del Pinatar and Torrepachecho, as well as in this province, such as Torrevieja, Guardamar and El Pilar de la Horadada

Facts took place by the end of March, when the Guardia Civil was informed about a robbery at a petrol station located in San Javier: a car with three passengers came along,  one of them got out and approached the collection box of the pressure cleaning system, manipulated it and stole the money which was inside to escape immediately afterwards.

With this same modus operandi and, apparently, by the same persons, other 10 robberies were committed in petrol stations of San Pedro del
Pinatar and Torrevieja, Guardamar del Segura and El Pilar de la Horadada.

The nearly a dozen robberies were committed between the 29th of March and the 30th of August this year.

By the beginning of September, and after a hard investigation work and with nearly 5 months gone by, the thieves were identified and found in Torrevieja, and one of them was arrested as the alleged perpetrator and the other three people were arrested for having accompanied the thief and waited for him inside the car while he forced the boxes and stole the money.

It has been calculated the total amount stolen may amount to over 600 €, but this amount cannot be exactly determined yet.
