THE LOCAL POLICE OF GUARDAMAR COLLABORATE IN A DISMANTLING NETWORK OF CAR THEFTS

Last Monday, the 26th of November, the Local Police of Guardamar located the members of an organization that was devoting to the theft of cars, simultaneously to the falsification of papers of same and of the badges of registration.

The first information received in the police dependencies, came from a rental car company of Catalonia. One of the stolen vehicles, which had a GPS , was indicating that it was parked in one of the central streets of Guardamar. The local police officers did not locate it at first, from what it was thought that it would be kept in some garage. Later, the information of the GPS, rental car company informed that the vehicle was taking the direction towards Cartagena , the Local Police then took the initiative to continue the pursuit of the car to inform the Local Police of Cartagena.

The result was the immobilization of the vehicle together with the detention and dismantling of an organization that was devoting itself to the theft of cars in the coastal zones to sell them in other countries
