THE PATIENTS OF THE HOSPITAL OF TORREVIEJA DECORATE THE UNIT OF PSYCHIATRY FOR CHRISTMAS

These activities have therapeutic purposes, but also, make the stay more bearable in the center.

The Psychiatry Unit in Torrevieja´s Hospital shows its best finery these days, thanks to the work that its patients have realized in one of the workshops coordinated by personnel of infirmary of the area, which has the purpose of motivating them and of encouraging them.

The Psychiatry Service of the torrevejense hospital gives every day workshops to hospitalized patients, through the personnel of infirmary, that go from relaxation, movie theater forum, health education, cognitive stimulation and even, occupational workshops for manualities, like the ones prepared the Christmas motives that decorate rooms and corridors of the hospitable area.

These activities have therapeutic purposes, but also, make the stay more bearable in the center.

The professionals explain that “according to the clinical situation of the patient, it allows him, or inclusive, encourages him to take part of the different workshops”. At the time of the photo, the unit relied on 5 patients who “are rotating with an average stay of between 10 and 12 days, until one stabilizes then they return to home.
