The Tour of Spain, passing through Torrevieja and finish in Orihuela Costa

The Tour of Spain 2011 to be held on Saturday August 20 to Sunday September 11, 2011, a total length of about 3,300 kilometers, will pass through Torrevieja in the second stage on Sunday August 21.

This second stage of the Tour will have a total distance of 174km with departure at 13h from La Nucia and goal on the beaches of Orihuela (Campoamor), which is expected a predictable sprint finish.

The passage of the Tour of Torrevieja, is scheduled for approximately 17h, Guardamar coming from the Avenida del Pais Valenciano, Calle Apolo Road to Avenida Ramón Gallud, Avenida Desiderio Rodriguez out of town by the N-332 direction to Campoamor.

After the victory of Alessandro Petacchi Orihuela last year, the Tour returns to this city to end back to the sea in a more predictable sprint finish in which all teams with specialists seek the opportunity to be seen.
