Torre La Mata Town Hall open for business

Torrelamata´s new Town Hall opened it’s doors for business on July 21 when Torrevieja’s Mayor Pedro Hernández Mateo plus his entire councillor team inaugurated the city’s first satellite Town Hall.

Situated just off the main plaza in Plaza Gaspar Perelló, the building was constructed for only 3.335.310 euros as part of the Plan E program of regeneration for the construction industry.

The new Town Hall was designed by architect Antonio López Sánchez and is the first in a project to build a number of satellite offices to better service local communities within the City. The La Mata office will serve the public in the areas of local registrations, information centre, meeting rooms, tourist information, social services and local police.

Plans for the former Local Police Station, Tourist Offices, Pensioners meeting centre and wine museum on La Mata’s seafront have yet to be announced. Plans are already underway to convert the Semana Santa Museum in Aguas Neuvas into the next local Town Hall, once the new Museum is constructed on Avenida de la Habaneras.
