Torrevieja's new gym

On Thursday, Eduardo Dolon, mayor of Torrevieja inaugurated the most receipt piece of the ever expanding Sports City, the new municipal gymnasium. The Gym effectively doubles the previous capacity offered and has a total of 440 square meters, divided into thee distinct areas: cardiovascular, strength and functional training area. In total, 38 new exercise machines and numerous free weights are available.

The mayor of Torrevieja has congratulated Dani Plaza, Councillor for Sports for the great work in creating one of the best gyms city in our region. This is a gym that has a capacity of up to 100 concurrent users, can accommodate over 800 people a day all built for the very reasonable municipal investment of €160,000.

And for those of you that have always been put off by the prices and long term membership plans offered by private gyms, Torrevieja offer one of the best price packages to be found anywhere at just €15 euros per month (45 euros per quarter). In addition, these facilities may be used by residents as well as those who play for one of the many sports clubs in the city of Torrevieja. The gym is open from Monday to Saturday from 9:00 to 13:00 and 17:00 to 22:00 hours (Monday to Friday) and Saturday from 9:00 to 13:00 hours.
