XIV SPORT FESTIVAL 2007

Luis Manuel Corchete obtained the top best 2007 sportsman prize.

This event started by introducing the 53 nominated sportsmen/women and sports clubs candidates to obtain the four top best prizes in the different categories: best feminine promising sportswoman; best masculine promising sportsman; best sports technician and top best sportsman of the 2007 year.

The nominated went to stage very applauded by the public and several souvenirs were given by the sports Councillor, Antonio Hódar, and members of the sports Council Team.

These were the winners:

Best Feminine 2007 Promising Sportswoman to Leticia Pardo Simón, member of the Capablanca Chess Club of Torrevieja.

Best Masculine 2007 Promising Sportsman to her brother David Pardo Simón, also member of the Capablanca Chess Club of Torrevieja.

Best 2007 Sports Technician to Carlos Burguillos López, for his brilliant career coaching the junior football team.

Top best 2007 Sportsman to Luis Manuel Corchete Martinez, the great champion in Walk.

The winners received a unique sculpture made by Víctor García Villalgordo. This sculpture will be from now on the image to represent these prizes in the coming editions of these sport prizes.

Also special mentions were given to the Torrevieja Feminine Football Club, to the Torrevieja Capablanca Chess Club, to the Torrevieja Tennis Club and to the Torrevieja Snooker Club.
