Young woman dies in Torrevieja due to cut on the throat

The boyfriend of the victim, a young man of Ukrainian nationality, cut her throat during an argument.

The Guardia Civil has arrested an Ukrainian citizen who is suspected of having killed his girlfriend in their home located in Ronda Ricardo Lafuente, in Torrevieja.

According to reliable sources, the suspected young man cut the throat of his girlfriend with a kitchen knife during an argument last Saturday night around eleven o’clock.

After having killed his girlfriend, the suspected young man went to the Guardia Civil where he confessed to the security agents to have killed his partner. Right after, he came back to his home accompanied by the security agents who discovered the dead body of the young lady who had a deep cut on her throat. The doctors who came to place could do nothing for the already dead young lady but to certify her death.

According to the investigations, the murderer confessed to have been under the influence of alcohol and probably also some hallucinogenic substance when he cut the throat of his girlfriend. The reasons of the crime have not been explained by the authorities. The suspected young man has already given evidence at the Judicial Police at the Court in Torrevieja and he has been taken into custody.

The deceased young lady is the second victim of domestic violence in Spain and the first in the province in this new year.
