The Archpriest's Parish Church of the Inmaculada Concepción
The building of this church on the site of former temples began in 1880.
It holds the statue of the town’s patron saint, La Purisima Concepcion. This image arouses popular fervour in Torrevieja, especially on the two occasions a year that it is taken out for processions: December 8 and Easter Sunday. As well as its high altar there are other notable sculptures such as the image of the body of Jesus, Christ Crucified, the Virgen del Carmen and others of unusual beauty.
