El Cura beach, Torrevieja El Cura beach, Torrevieja

This is the most popular beach, as it is integrated within the town’s urban area.

This beach is 325 metres long and 27 metres wide, and it is the nearest beach to the centre of the town. To the south it adjoins the Juan Aparicio Esplanade as well as the restaurant El Tintero, and to the north it adjoins the Monument to the Mediterranean Cultures, also known as "the Columns". It has a nice and recently renovated seafront full of bars, souvenir shops, ice-cream parlours and restaurants. We highly recommend visiting the restaurant Pizza Nº1, where you will be able to taste delicious dishes with a wonderful sight of the sea.

At the beginning of the beach we can find the restaurant El Tintero, which was almost entirely built above the water and where you can enjoy a huge variety of fish dishes and paellas during the summer.

In the summer it is the venue for the “Noche de Habaneras en la Playa” –Habaneras night at the beach-, an event attracting many people to have dinner and listen to the music of the Habaneras. It has a tourist info centre, 4 surveillance towers, 4 lifeguards right on the seafront and a first aid station.

It is worth mentioning it has many services to offer for all tourists, such as chiringuitos, kiosks, restaurants, ice-cream parlours to have something to eat or drink among swings, and many things more.
