Salt Industry Exhibition Centre

Situated in the former RENFE warehouse, which is now in the Parque de la Estación, the centre provides an attractive voyage through the history of the salt industry in Torrevieja.

You can see a variety of old images which explain how the primitive salt industry worked in the town, as well as figures dressed in the salt workers costume and the typical boats in which salt was collected.

The salt lakes are responsible for the identity of Torrevieja as a town. Visitors to the exhibition centre can found out the answers to all their doubts and queries about salt and Torrevieja.
