This is Torrevieja's maritime front par excellence.

It is popularly called the esplanade 'De Las Rocas', starting in the Paseo de la Libertad and linked to it until the Avenida de Los Marineros in the heart of the Playa del Cura beach. It is built on the rocks of the Torrevieja coast, being laid out at the beginning of last century.

In 1990 it underwent the biggest transformation of its history, a project designed by the Barcelona architect Carmen Pinós. In this project it was completely pedestrianised and two piers were created.

Using the characteristics of the area, several 'natural' swimming pools were formed and these are used at all hours, especially in the summer season. It also has spectacular wooden benches and special lighting. At the beginning of the esplanade there is the monument to the Man of the Sea and on one of the benches on the rocks there is the figure of 'the beatiful Lola'.
